“One child, one teacher, one book and one pen can change the world.”

- Malala Yousafzal

The Tongabezi Trust School, our sister project, was born in 1996 from a desire to provide underprivileged children from Simonga with a sound and holistic education in a bid to improve the quality of their lives.

Their vision is to develop the child as a whole and help them gain greater knowledge and understanding of educational and social issues, so they are able to make informed choices and have the chance of bright, promising futures.

“Empowering young people in Africa to build sustainable livelihoods”

Workaid is a charity based in Chesham, Buckinghamshire empowering young people in Africa (and the UK) to help themselves by developing the skills and knowledge needed to find gainful employment or start their own business.

They do this by refurbishing donated tools to a high standard and shipping them to training centres and self-help organisations.

At present, all the sewing machines in use have been donated to us by Workaid.
